The original Crystal Chronicles was a bit of a mixed bag, but the music had to have been one of my favorite collections of windy, powerful, unique tracks. It helped paint a backdrop for a world you never really get to see a whole lot of. Sleeping Treasure in the Sand, aptly named for the Desert level, is a combination of these things. Plenty of time is spent exploring the expansive desert as enemies pop out of the sands and wind blows across the screen. Having an engaging loop with a variety of sounds helps and the crescendo @2:30 breaks up the repetition enough to consistently keep things flowing.
